Planner Junkie

Hi.
I'm Damaris.
And I'm a planner junkie.
Saying it out loud feels empowering!

If you're like me, you're probably prone to purchasing many planners.  Different sizes, styles and for different reasons.  When I first purchased the Carpe Diem "Ballerina" planner by Cori, The Reset Girl, I thought I'd be using it to track my blog posts, my blog subjects and maybe some online courses.  I epically failed at keeping up with it.  But I was able to find another purpose for it.  Something more meaningful to me, personally.

I am a fan of podcasts and I use this particular planner to house my sermon notes.  Because the podcasts are recorded, (and because I'm way behind on these), I'm able to incorporate each sermon to match my decor.

This week, I used the delicious Maggie Holmes "Carousel" collection.  I made a paper clip with the bow, by simply looping it behind and hooking it through the ribbon.  Cut down 12x12 paper to create arrows, and used that adorable hot air balloon cardstock to make my own fussy-cut ephemera.

If you're not into sermons, maybe there are other podcasts you listen to that you'd like to keep track of and take notes for.  Maybe each week can be a different podcast theme.  Weight loss.  Craft tips.  Etc.

However you decide to use your extra planners and paper supplies, please be sure to share that with us in the PI Facebook group.  There you'll be sure to find more creative ways to use your supplies.

Lucky Us.

It's a new week and another opportunity to print our weekend photos and scrap!
It's one of the best ways to use up our delicious supplies, while we're still really loving them!

Today the PI girls are on the blog sharing their Monday Issues, by showcasing fall themed pages, while implementing a Kraft or Cork item.

I used the new "Family Fun" collection by Elle's Studio, and added Amy Tangerine "Stitched" thickers.  Ironically enough, the phrases blended with the background, so I decided to add my own stitch lines using a white Tombow Uniball Gel Pen to make the title pop.  I also used my new favorite item that Cassie carries, Tonic Studios Nuvo.  They make drops (which are the equivalent to liquid enamel dots), and the best adhesive you will ever find!  I've used it 3 days in a row and still have not experienced any nozzle clogging.  I used a fiskars cloud punch (3 sizes) to create cloud clusters and my WeRMemory Keepers typecast typewriter to add info to the 3x4 card.

I love how the page turned out and I will be adding additional handwritten journaling at the bottom.

Lady Boss

Good Morning.

Today the PI Girls are challenging you to be minimal with the "Add It Up" challenge.  Your total points should be 50 or less, and I just made the cuff at 50.

This challenge was difficult, as I tend to add on elements to my page (even when I'm done).  So keeping it bare was a real challenge.

I used American Crafts cardstock, navy acrylic paint, 1 stencil, Maggie Holmes' ephemera and Pink Paislee ephemera.  I was so tight with the points, that I couldn't even add journaling.

Whether you need inspiration or want to share what you've created, be sure to visit the Paper Issues Friends & Fans group.  We're a fun community who likes to laugh and talk about pretty paper over coffee.

If you're in the mood for new goodies, use my discount code at the Paper Issues Shop!
